Green Arrow's foray into the City of Arkham

Oliver Queen leaped between the two rooftops, bow in hand, and landed softly. Arkham City was becoming more of a thorn in his side as he sat on the issue. He didn't know what was going on here, but he sure as hell would find out. His first target was a couple of rooftops ahead, where a criminal patrolled the roof. He stopped a moment as he pulled an arrow from the large quiver on his back, and notched it to the bowstring. Starting off again, he pulled the bowstring all the way back, the string straining as he forced it back. Jumping, he fired the arrow at the pinnacle of his jump, the long thin projectile speeding forwards and embedding itself into the soft flesh of the man's thigh. A yell of pain was heard by archer as he crossed the final rooftop, jumped again, and kicked the man in the face. Just a regular criminal, the guy was taken down instantly by Green Arrow's kick.

The strange goings-on were not secret, and he doubted he was alone in investigating the portion of the city being used to house the criminally insane. But for now, he was by himself. He pulled another arrow from his quiver and continued his rooftop penetration of the area. His suit was instantly recognisable, and as such, it would be a problem to get too far in, but for now it would be simple enough. Stick to the rooftops, and avoid most of the bad guys.

A couple of thugs carrying pipes and bats walk along the murky road's talking among themselves. "' 'Ey You hear the rumor that the bat is in Arkham City" "Heh, The freak belongs in here along with the rest o' us..." One of the thugs spots the man in green and shouts "Hey! Look over dere, It's that Green Arrow chump from Star City!" The thug readies his pipe and charges at the green clad man.

He'd been spotted! Now he'd have to get his hands dirty. He notched the arrow, but loosed it too soon and it flew away into the city. Dodging the first swing, Green Arrow grinned. "See, that's the problem with anger." He delivered a quick couple of punches to the thug's face. "It consumes you," The second thug's attention had been caught by the first's cry, and he charged at Arrow. "makes you sloppy..." Oliver ducked under the swing of the thug's bat that made the air whistle. "Makes you predictable!" He used his bow as a club, and swung it against the man's chest. The cracking sound indicated some significant harm. "Until pretty soon..." He placed his hands on the man's shoulders and flipped over as the first man got up, and charged at the man in green, striking his partner-in-crime around the face by accident. Dropping the unconscious man, Oliver grabbed the guy's shirt, pulling the pipe from his hand and tossing it away. "What did you say about Batman?" Being interrogated by a man dressed like Robin Hood probably didn't have much of a sting, but the hilt of a sword peeped out from behind his right shoulder, and he definitely had no qualms about using it. "Talk." He said simply.

The thug just stands in fear of the man who just took out his friend. "Y-You ain't gettin' nothin from me!" The thug could see the hilt of a sword and decided to speak up. "Er-Well Fine, The Bat was seen around Arkham City, to save that chump Bruce Wayne.....But you ain't gunna find him Robin Hood" The Thug laughs, as He realizes He'd prefer death to living in this hell hole any longer

He delivered a backhand that would make the thug's ears ring for a few hours, and dropped him. "Don't make me come back for you." He warned in a low growl. Walking away, he looked up at the Asylum that was the stronghold of the City. If Bruce had been kidnapped, it would no doubt have been by one of the major villains holed up in Arkham Asylum, and they would have taken the billionaire playboy back there. He started walking purposefully towards the nearest fire escape, ascending to the highest point he could. When he was level with one of the Asylum's windows, he took the long loop of rope from his belt and tied it around the shaft of an arrow. Pulling the string back, he let fly, the arrow smashed the window and hit the wall behind it, embedding into the stone wall. Oliver tied it to the flagpole behind him and tested the arrow's strength by pulling on it. Since it held, he placed his bow over the rope and pushed off from the rooftop, sliding the full distance between the rooftop and the Asylum's second floor, jumping inside with a breath.
